Hong Kong Residence by Investment
The Capital Investment Entrant Scheme was launched by the Immigration Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China in September 2003. Individuals seeking residence in the HKSAR in exchange for investment had to rely on a subset of the employment visa known as the Employment Visa Based on Investment in Hong Kong prior to the establishment of the scheme (the business investment visa). The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) offers numerous alternative resident programs, notwithstanding the fact that its Capital Investment Entrant Scheme was stopped in 2015.
Procedures and time frame
To get any of the aforementioned visas, the applicant must complete and submit all necessary application papers and supporting documentation. The processing of visa or entry permit applications usually takes four to eight months after the Immigration Department receives all relevant documentation.
